In November of 2004, I attended the Creative Screenwriting Expo in Los Angeles. I returned home motivated to write and direct the feature film I long aspired to create. I gleaned three important secrets at the Expo from the full slate of seminars and special guests, including William Goldman (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) and Ivan Reitman (Stripes, Ghostbusters).

Keep in mind this is my interpretation.

  1. Have passion for your work. Passion is infectious.
  2. Be persistent. (I'm learning that you need endurance and faith as well.)
  3. DO IT YOURSELF.

Flics on 66 With these concepts in mind I began to tell anyone who would listen that I was producing a feature length film this year. (I had only a seed of an idea at this stage; the script had not yet been completed.)

I am reminded of the line from Almost Famous, "Be bold and powerful angels will come to your aid".  I soon attracted resources, investors, and a talented cast
& crew. My snowball of an idea has become an avalanche. I remain humble though. A great deal of work has yet to be done before we have a completed film. I realize the challenge our production company faces in producing a movie that is both entertaining and inspiring, let alone successful.

I set out to write a "siege film" in the tradition of Rio Bravo and John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13. What resulted was No Sanctuary, a story steeped in myth with strong characters, an adrenaline-fueled plot,
and a spiritual core. (Of course, I'm biased.)

I hope you will follow the production as it develops. Please bookmark this site and return often. Thank you for your support.

The film will be produced by a team of professionals from Central Pennsylvania using the latest advances in digital cinematography.

I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the investors and volunteers that have made this project possible.

If you have any questions regarding the film, please do not hesitate to contact me.
